chris + ashley contacted me before their new baby arrived to discuss the possibility of me shooting newborn portraits for them. i have been shooting a lot of newborn shoots recently and loving every minute of it [stay tuned for a special "baby week" blog event next week!], so, given the chance to work with them and their little girlies, i was super enthused. it took a few weeks after z's arrival to coordinate our schedules, but, the timing was serendipitous as we experienced one of the few mild, beautiful days we've had this spring. we met at a local park where i'd scouted us a tree to play under. chris provided his hat collection and away we went! enjoy.

I bow to your mastery of family portraiture. Really, I don't know how you are consistently amazing at it, but you are! So, needless to say, I love these shots. =)
